Sizivo App Privacy Policy

Sizivo: Size It Up Game is published by 1imagegenerator LLC. The app needs no account. Your progress is saved on your phone. Our server supports the daily puzzle, daily standings, challenges, shared result cards, category votes and feedback. Usage is counted by our own cookieless analytics, which stores no identifiers. The Android app includes Google AdMob and may show a startup ad; the iOS app has no ads or advertising SDK. Data processed by our hosting provider and, on Android, Google’s advertising services is described below.

On your phone

The app stores your daily progress, streak, best scores, your rounds-per-run preference, a random device id and the nickname you type for a challenge in a private database inside the app. This database is never uploaded; only the individual values listed in the next section are sent, and only when you use those features. The app and the website keep separate progress. Deleting the app deletes this database. Feedback drafts are kept only while the page is open.

The random device id is generated on your phone the first time you play. It is not your name, your phone’s identifier or an advertising identifier, and the game cannot change it once created.

What reaches our server

The app downloads each day’s puzzle, the Past Games catalog and the answers pages from our server. When you finish a daily puzzle, your total is sent with the random device id so the app can tell you how you did against everyone else; these totals are kept as part of the daily standings and are not deleted on a schedule. When you create a challenge, the server stores the selected pairs, your round scores, the nickname you entered, the device id and your IP address; the IP address is used only to limit how many challenges one connection can create. When you play a challenge, your round scores, nickname and device id are added to it. Boards are visible to anyone with the link and stop being accessible thirty days after creation; the underlying records are not deleted on a schedule.

Category votes and written feedback are stored on our server, independently of anything else. A vote includes the chosen category and the device id, which lets you change your vote. Feedback includes the text you send, the page, game mode, category, device type, where you opened the form and whether you finished a run. Written feedback is kept for 180 days after submission; votes for 180 days after their last update.

Every request from the app carries the app version and platform so we can keep older versions working; the platform is stored with a finished daily so we can see how many players on each platform come back. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes IP addresses to deliver responses and to limit abuse; we do not build profiles from them.

Which pages you open and a few in-game events (a finished puzzle, a share, a category chosen) are counted by a self-hosted, cookieless analytics instance (Plausible) on our own server. It stores no device id, nickname or other identifier; your IP address is used to derive a country and then discarded, and nothing follows you to other apps or sites.

Shared result cards

Saving a result image uses your phone’s share sheet and does not publish anything. Creating a share link stores an immutable snapshot of the category, puzzle, round scores, guesses and rendering version on our server, plus the image. The snapshot contains no device id, nickname or feedback text. Anyone with the link can view it. Share links expire after 180 days; an hourly cleanup removes expired records and images. Copies already saved or posted elsewhere remain outside our control.

Android advertising and privacy choices

On Android, Google’s Mobile Ads SDK can show an app open ad during startup. We request non-personalized ads. This does not mean that no data is collected: Google and its advertising partners may process your IP address (including an approximate location derived from it), advertising and app set identifiers, ad interactions and diagnostic information to deliver and measure ads and prevent fraud. Google’s SDK sends data over encrypted connections. The consent form lists the participating partners and their purposes. We do not send these advertising services your game nickname, saved progress, challenge scores or feedback text.

Google’s User Messaging Platform checks whether privacy choices are required in your region. When required, a consent form explains your choices. You can reopen it using the app’s “Ad privacy settings” button when that option is required. If permission to request ads is unavailable, the game remains playable without an ad. Android also provides controls to reset or delete your advertising ID in system settings. See Google’s Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from apps that use its services.

Android stores a local flag recording whether the game has opened successfully, so the first use has no startup ad. Google stores consent choices on the device. These advertising components and choices do not apply to the iOS app.

Permissions and third parties

On Android, the app requests no runtime permissions; the advertising SDK may use the advertising ID through a manifest permission that does not show a runtime prompt. On iOS, saving a result image to your photo library triggers the system’s add-to-photos permission the first time you choose it; the app never reads your photo library. The app does not request precise location, contacts, camera or microphone access, and does not include Google Analytics or Firebase. Our self-hosted Plausible usage counting and Android advertising are described above. Links to sources open in your browser.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, write to us and we will delete it.

Deleting your data

Deleting the app removes everything stored on your phone. To have a challenge board, a shared result card, your feedback or a vote removed from our server, send us the link or the text and we will delete it. We cannot look up server records from your phone alone, because the device id is stored only there.
