PRIVACY · SHORT VERSION FIRST

What Size It Up keeps

No accounts, no cookies, no advertising trackers. The game runs in your browser and remembers you there. The only thing that leaves your device is what you choose to put on a challenge board.

On your device

Your daily progress, streak, best scores, a random device id and the nickname you type for a challenge are stored in your browser’s local storage. Clearing site data removes all of it; nothing is synced to a server, so it cannot be recovered afterwards.

Challenges and daily standings

When you create a challenge or play one, the site stores the five pairs, your round scores, the nickname you entered and the random device id, so the board can show who beat whom. Boards are public to anyone with the link and expire after thirty days. When you finish a daily puzzle, your total is stored with the device id so the site can say how you did against everyone else. The device id is a random string; it is not tied to your name, email or account, because there are none.

Analytics

Page views and a few product events (a finished puzzle, a share, a challenge opened) are counted with a self-hosted, cookieless analytics instance that does not build profiles or follow you to other sites. IP addresses are used to derive a country and discarded. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.
