A date is only the start
Missed a daily game, or want another go at a tricky comparison? Choose a category to see all five pairs before you play. Each date keeps its own set of rounds, so you can return to the same puzzle and try to improve your score.

Animal against animal, from tiny creatures to giants. Check the named measurement: a round can compare length, height or wingspan. The pair list helps you find species you recognize or a comparison you want to revisit.
Geography
Compare the outlines of countries, US states and lakes. You estimate east–west or north–south span, not area. Search for Italy to find its appearances, then choose a date and opponent.
Pop Culture
Characters, creatures and ships at the size their films and games give them. Every round names the version it means, so read the caption before you judge the outline.
Vehicles
Machine against machine, from a skateboard to a supertanker. Almost every round measures length end to end; the rockets, the Apollo Lunar Module and the hot air balloon are measured on height instead.
Dinosaurs
Dinosaur against dinosaur. Compare estimated total body length, including the tail. Play past puzzles from the category’s opening date, with the same measurements and pairs.
Space
World against world. Compare body diameters, excluding rings and orbital distances. Replay the original five pairs from each Space day.
Everyday Objects
Object against object. Compare familiar things from home, school and the street, using the named length, height, width or diameter. Replay from the category opening date.
Insects
Compare adult insect body lengths and open wingspans. Each entry names its species and selected measurement. Replay from the category opening date.
Landmarks
Compare towers, statues, bridge main spans and arenas. Read each named measurement before you scale. Replay from the category opening date.
Food & Drink
Compare selected food sizes and drink-container heights. Read the named portion or model, then replay from the category opening date.
Choose by more than a date
- Browse one category for each day’s five pairs and a size-comparison highlight.
- Search an object with at least two characters. Names match across all categories, whether the object was the reference or the one you resized. Results only include appearances in the available date range.
- Use the calendar on a larger screen to see a month at a glance. Each day shows one silhouette per category, filled in once you have played it. Select a day to see its categories and pairs, or choose a silhouette to play that category straight away. Switch to By day to work through the categories for a particular date.
- On a phone, browse by day and tap All 11 to choose a category, or use the category chips to see its pairs.
Pick up where you left off
To play includes unfinished puzzles; Played shows completed ones. Resume continues an unfinished set, and Play again starts a fresh attempt at a completed past game. Each round is worth up to 100 points; from 14 September the later rounds count more, for a total of 1,000, and earlier days keep their total of 500.
Your progress and best scores are saved in this browser. They are not synced across devices, and clearing browser data can remove them. In the all-category By day view, a day counts as played once every category is complete.
Before you play
Do past games count toward my daily streak?
No. Past games keep separate progress and do not change your daily streak. Choosing today takes you to the regular Daily game, where the normal daily rules apply.
How far back can I play?
The collection begins on and grows as new daily puzzles become available. Dates follow your local time. It includes 60 days before launch. Those puzzles are marked PRE-LAUNCH; the label does not mean they were publicly available then.
Where can I see the answers?
Use a puzzle’s Answers button or visit Size It Up Answers, then choose Mixed, Animals, Geography, Pop Culture, Vehicles, Dinosaurs, Space, Everyday Objects, Insects, Landmarks or Food & Drink and the date. The separate answer page contains the true sizes and short facts for all five rounds. Answers are not embedded in the game pages.
How is this different from Unlimited?
A past game returns to five rounds assigned to a specific category and date. Unlimited gives you more practice without choosing a date. For the resizing controls and scoring, read How to play.
