This pre-launch puzzle ran from a ruby-throated hummingbird (9 cm) to a sperm whale (16 m). The widest gap was round 2, Ruby-throated Hummingbird against Great White Shark, at 50×; the closest call was round 3, Sperm Whale against Saltwater Crocodile, only 3.2× apart — the kind of round that separates a 90 from a 60.
